Workshop under MHM by Rotary Club of Sindhudurg Central..

Sindhudurg, 20th:– Menstrual cycle management workshop was conducted for adolescent girls of classes VI to X at Shivaji Vidyalaya, Hirlok, Kudal. On this occasion Rotary President Navin Bandekar, former Dr. Prashant Kolte, Dr. Darshana Kolte, Satyawan Chavan, Dr. Vaibhav Iyer, Prathmesh Sawant, Gaurav Ghogle, Principal Mr. Mhadgut Sir, teaching staff, parents were present. Dr. Darshana Kolte guided the girls. While discussing how to maintain personal hygiene, information was given about superstitions and misunderstandings about menstruation. Dr. Prashant Kolte gave a brief guidance on the activities of Rotary. Rotary President Naveen Bandekar handed over the tab made available under 'Asmita' to the teachers. On this occasion free sanitary pads were distributed to 125 girls of the school. The cooperation of all the Rotarians as well as the teachers and non-teaching staff of the school was taken for the success of the initiative.
