The rain that has lashed the state for the last three months is now going to take a heavy form on the return journey as well. The rain is going to pour. Several districts have been issued an alert by the Meteorological Department. The return journey of Southwest Monsoon from North West Rajasthan and Kutch area has started from Monday i.e. September 23. This year, for the 14th year in a row, the return journey started with delay. Normally the return journey starts from 17th September. This year the return journey has started seven days late. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the state for the next four days and heavy rain is predicted in some districts of Marathwada, Vidarbha. There is a possibility of heavy rain along with stormy winds in Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and ‘Orange Alert’ has been given to some districts of the state. A ‘yellow alert’ has been issued for some districts. Meanwhile, there was heavy rain in Navi Mumbai, Palghar district along with Thane on Monday night. Heavy rain is expected in Vidarbha, Marathwada, Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra for the next four days. Heavy rain will also fall in Mumbai and Konkan. Palghar, Thane, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Nashik, Nagar, Pune, Sangli, Solapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Latur, Gharashiv, Amravati, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, Yavatmal are on ‘yellow alert’. Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Satara, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded districts have been given ‘orange alert’. Heavy rains have appeared in Mumbai.. So the citizens who are suffering from heat have got a big relief. But due to the rain, water accumulated in many deep areas… and the force of this return rain will increase, the warning has been given by the Meteorological Department.
