In the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, the Grand Alliance suffered a shock defeat. The grand coalition government, recovering from it, leveled popular slogans in the state. It announced ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’. Through this scheme eligible women of the state will get Rs 1500 per month. Mahayuti feels this plan is a game changer. Will this scheme benefit the Mahayuti in the coming assembly elections? In this regard, a survey was conducted by senior political analyst and cephalologist Dayanand Nene. The results of this survey, which was conducted between August 16 and August 25, have come. In this survey, he has asked whether the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ will benefit the Mahayuti? The answer to this question is surprising.** 37 percent people said no benefit* 40 percent people who participated in the survey said that this scheme will benefit the Mahayuti. But 37 percent people said that there will be no benefit. 23 percent did not express any opinion. People have reacted that the scheme is an election stunt. If the government is distributing money for free, why leave it? Some have said so. Dayanand Nene said that I personally feel that there is a lot of corruption in this scheme. Many women from affluent families are getting money from this scheme. The state government should investigate this. *Strong agitation from all three parties* The government is currently focusing a lot of attention on the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’. This plan is widely publicized. All the three parties in the coalition have asked their workers to inform and promote the scheme. Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party has focused on this scheme in the pre-election campaign. Around 1.5 crore women in the state will come under this scheme. Maharashtra Government had announced this scheme in the Budget 2024. In this scheme, it has been announced to give 1500 rupees per month to women in the age group of 21 to 65 years of the state. The condition for this scheme is that the annual income of the applicant woman’s family should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh. If any member of the woman’s family is paying income tax, she is not eligible for this scheme.
