While traveling from Mumbai to Devgad by Mangalore Express, a young man died after falling from the train door.

A 30-year-old man from Devgad died after falling from the train door while traveling by Mangalore Express from Mumbai to Devgad at around 10.45 pm on Saturday. According to the information provided by the police, Atmaram Sharad Sawant (30, Res. Munge, Sawantwadi, Dist. Devgad, Dist. Ratnagiri) and his friend Omkar Prakash Ghadi (23, Shivshambho Chal No. 01, Shivtekdi Majaswadi Jogeshwari East Mumbai) both came to Devgad from Mumbai. Ganapati was going here for the festival. When the train arrived at Ratnagiri, Atmaram sat near the door step of the train. He lost his balance and fell through the door, sustaining serious injuries.
