“Mahavikas Aghadi government will come to Maharashtra and one of our three party leaders will become the Chief Minister”, said Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and senior leader Sharad Pawar. He said, “We can see a clear picture in the state that after the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government will come to the state. Presently, the state has a favorable environment for Maviya. Lok Sabha elections were held six months ago. At that time, the people have clearly stated what is in their mind. When the Lok Sabha elections were held five years ago, the Congress could win only one seat, while we won four seats.
In the recently held (2024) Lok Sabha elections, Mahavikas Aghadi won as many as 31 seats. This has made it clear what is the tendency of the people”. Sharad Pawar said, “Even before the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and Mahayutiva were saying that a double engine government will come. They were promoting the name of Narendra Modi all over the country. However, people have shown us tremendous support. Now the work of pouring money through Ladki Bahin Yojana and some other schemes is going on. But, people have other discussions. I have talked to many women. He told me that even though money was coming into his bank account through Ladaki Bahin Yojana, he was not happy. She said to me, do you know the price of oil? How much has inflation increased? Do you have any idea? We raised our children with great difficulty, children graduated from college, but they have no job, no work to do. Many children roam around idle. That means the government is giving with one hand and taking away with the other hand. Those women were angry against the government”.

Which leader will be trusted among Uddhav Thackeray, Supriya Sule, Nana Patole, Jayant Patil, Prithviraj Chavan? Sharad Pawar said, “We will sit and discuss this with the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi. The leader of the party that wins the most seats becomes the Chief Minister. We request the party that gets the most seats to elect your representative, we will have our full support. This means whoever has more MLAs will be the Chief Minister. This is the policy of my party”.
