Campaigning for the first phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections ended on Monday. Voting will now take place on Wednesday for 43 seats in that state. Jharkhand has a total of 81 assembly seats. Voters will exercise their right to vote in 2 phases for the political battle there. There are a total of 2.60 crore voters in that state. Out of which 1.37 crore voters are eligible to vote in the first phase. A total of 683 candidates are in the fray in the first phase. In the second phase, voting for 38 seats will be held on November 20.
