Mumbai : BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde was arrested by Baviya leaders on the day before polling in Nalasopara on charges of distributing money. This has created excitement in the state. Hintendra Thakur has revealed that it was the BJP leaders who told him that they were getting money.
Tawde is saying that he came to tell the party workers what to do on the polling day. In this way, the police and election officials have given the information about how much money was found with Tawden.
Kshitij Thakur had alleged that Tawde had brought five crore rupees. While Hitendra Thakur showed the diary of Vinod Tawde and said that it mentions that Rs. 15 crores have been distributed. Thakur’s supporters paid the Election Commission team the money found in his possession, the commission officials have announced.
9,93,500 was found in the room by the FST team. Election officials have said that a case is also being filed against the unauthorized press conference held here. According to Police Officer Pournima Chowgule, crimes have been registered under Section 173 BNS and other sections against the unauthorized money found here.
Along with this, the candidates of Nalasopara Rajan Naik and Choudhary have not been beaten up, the police have handled the situation properly, Chowgule said.
