Vidyavrata Sanskar ceremony for students at United Gurukul, Chiplun

Sangameshwar Dt. 30: Vidyavrata is an important cultural program that reminds and makes children aware that “we will continue to study, learn, and change ourselves for that”. On this occasion, it is expected that boys and girls should take the above six vows in order to bring precision and discipline in their personality in the following order: Yuktahar Vihara, Indriya Samitan, Daily Worship, Swadhyaya Prachan, Sadguru Seva, Rashtra Archana. In order to make the subject of Vidyavrata, which seems to be a bit difficult, easy for children to understand, a week-long lecture series was organized in United Gurukul last week in accordance with the above six vows.

What should a proper diet look like? Which foods are actually useful for our body? Which food habits should we avoid and while doing all this, our daily schedule, walking, talking, behavior, behavior in the society, that is how our vihara should be meaningful. Parallel to this lecture series organized as a preparation for the Vidyavrata Sanskar, the faculty group of the Gurukula also strengthened it by doing a different kind of creative work! That ingenious work is that Swarnalata Bhishikar read six different letters from the book ‘Ujalti Vaat’ written for the students who want to become students and sent audio recordings of it to the children and parents regularly every day and the children also spontaneously wrote responsive letters to all these letters!

The collective effort of the past week has created a positive atmosphere among the students and parents about Vidyavrat Sanskar. In order to have a more informative dialogue with the parents about the importance of Vidyavrata Sanskar in the Gurukul and the overall study structure, a lecture by Mr. Aditya Shinde, Head of Nigdi Gurukul and Deputy Head of Jnanaprabodhini Nigdi Kendra, has been organized in the Gurukul on Friday 04th October 2024 from 5 to 6:30 in the evening.
