Sindhudurg: The police custody of both Jaideep Apte and Chetan Patil, who are the main accused in the case of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue accident at Malvan Rajkot fort in the district, ends on Tuesday. So both will be produced in court today. Construction consultant Chetan Patil will appear before the Malvan Police Court for the third time. The statue was not designed to hurt anyone. No tourist was injured in this accident. Therefore, in this case, Jaideep Apte’s lawyers had told the court that the articles related to attempted murder and bodily injury were inapplicable. After the statue of Shiva Raya collapsed, its remains were collected. It was rusty. The police had told the court that they would have to investigate whether substandard materials were used while making the statue.
