Ratnagiri, Date – 30:- Of the three employees of the JSW Company who went down to the sea to see, two drowned and one managed to be saved. This unfortunate incident took place at Ganapatipule (Ratnagiri) on Sunday around 5:30 pm. The names of the two who drowned are Pradeep Kumar (30, native of Odisha) and Muhammad Yusuf (29, native of Uttarakhand). Dakua Tukuna (30, resident of West Bengal) was saved.
Since it was a holiday on Sunday, the employees of JSW Port Marine Company from Jaigad had come to Ganapatipule for an afternoon walk. In the evening, Pradeep Kumar, Mohammed Yusuf and Dakua Tukuna went down to bathe in the sea near the toilet building on the shore. All the three tried to go deep without predicting the pits in the sea. The trio screamed as they realized that they were drowning in the Khael Sea. Hearing their voices, the police along with lifeguard Mayuresh Devrukhkar, Ajinkya Ramani, Aniket Rajwadkar, and the driver of the toilet Nikhil Surve rushed to help. However, the medical officers conducted a preliminary examination there and said that Pradeep Kumar and Muhammad Yusuf died. Also Dakua Tukuna has been treated and his condition is stable.
