Keeping the tradition of ‘one village one Ganapati’ five hundred years ago, the villagers of Ganapatipule Panchkroshi, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, went to the temple of Sri Gabhar and thronged for touch darshan. It was said by the temple management that more than five thousand devotees from outside the district along with local people visited the shrine from dawn. Bhadrapadi Ganeshotsav is celebrated in the temple of Swayambhu Shri Gajanana without bringing the mortal idol of Lord Ganesha from home to home. Today, on the occasion of Bhadrapadi Ganesh Chaturthi, local villagers can visit Swayambhu Sri Gajanana in washed clothes in the gabhara. Sparsh darshan of ‘Shri’ started from 5 am onwards from 4.30 am onwards. Local villagers attended by standing in queues. Devotees from the top of the ghat were also included along with the local villagers. Darshan starts till 12.30 pm. More than five thousand devotees visited during the day.
