Ratnagiri : Dated 28/09/2024 at 08.45 AM. An elderly woman, who was alone in a house near the washing ramp at Hari Om Mangal Office (Lata Talkies) Gadital, was beaten and injured by forcibly pulling two gold bangles from her hands and a gold chain from her neck. Regarding that, Ratnagiri City Police Station Crime Reg. No. 370/2024 A case was registered under Section 309 (6), 3(5) of the Indian Code of Judicature Act 2023.
Since the said crime is of a serious nature, Ratnagiri District Superintendent of Police Shri. Dhananjaya Kulkarni and Additional Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Jayashree Gaikwad instructed the Local Crime Investigation Branch to uncover the crime, as the Police Inspector of the Local Crime Investigation Branch Mr. Nitin Dhere immediately appointed a team of the local crime investigation branch and started a parallel investigation into the crime.
Based on the information received from the confidential informant, the investigation team of the local crime investigation branch concluded that the said crime was committed by Shekhar Ramesh Talwadekar with the help of his wife Ashlesha Shekhar Talwadekar and based on the confidential information accused (1) Shekhar Ramesh Talwadekar, aged 47 years, (2) Mrs. Ashlesha Shekhar Talwadekar Age 48 Years Both Res. Om Shanti Plaza, Lakshmi Chowk, Gadital Ratnagiri Original Res. Talwade Sawantwadi District Sindhudurg was taken into custody for 24 hours and a total of gold ornaments worth Rs.1,64,000/- (100% of the items in question) stolen from him in the crime have been recovered. Further investigation of the crime is going on through Ratnagiri City Police Station.
