Thieves cleaned their hands during Ganesh Visarjan procession in Lalbagh.

Like every year, this year too, a large number of citizens participated in the Ganesh Visarjan procession in Lalbagh. Thieves have taken advantage of this crowd to steal precious gold ornaments and mobile phones. At least seven people have lodged complaints of theft of jewelery and mobile phones at Kalachowki police station. According to the complaints, items worth more than seven lakhs have been stolen, including gold ornaments, cameras. Police have detained two women in one of the cases. At least seven incidents of theft of valuable jewelery and mobile phones have taken place in Lalbagh, taking advantage of the crowd during the Ganesh Visarjan procession.
