Mumbai: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut of Thackeray’s Shiv Sena has informed that the seat allocation of Maha Vikas Aghadi will be almost completed in the first week of October. He was talking to reporters in Mumbai. For the past few days, there has been a discussion on seat allocation in Mahavikas Aghadi. Sanjay Raut has given a detailed response in this regard. Sanjay Raut said that no formula has been decided and will not be the Chief Minister. Sanjay Raut also clarified that the face that is acceptable to Maharashtra and the face that runs the circus of the Maha Vikas Aghadi will be the chief ministerial face.
Sanjay Raut further said, “You should understand the seriousness of the fact that all the major leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi sat for seat allocation for four consecutive days. Our formula is that whoever wins will contest that seat. We have to consider every factor while looking at 288 seats. After sitting for four days, many things go away. Have to sit again and take some calls, everyone has their own opinion, but this seat allotment will be done peacefully and easily.
Our only formula is to fight together and bring our government, no matter who has to sacrifice for it. If we have agreed on two hundred seats, news you should welcome. I would say we agree on 288 seats. Our allotment of 288 seats will be done smoothly.
We don’t fight elections with any formula in front of us, Lok Sabha didn’t have any formula. We fought the places that came in its way. We will also fight elections in the Vidhansabha in the same way without any formula. Allocation of seats in the front will not happen as we will fight for so many seats.
Workers of two or three parties may claim a seat, I am not saying leaders. We will sit on such places again and again and make our way. We will not go to extremes on this. After four days we will once again complete the goods and space allocation for a day or two. Allotment will be completed before the first week of October. After allotment of seats is done, we will hold meetings on the manifesto or work on how to campaign together.
Balasaheb Thorat is a senior leader of Congress and if he wants to become Chief Minister then his party should announce the same. Maha Vikas Aghadi will be the Chief Minister’s face. Who can run the Aghadi circus best and which face of the Chief Ministership is acceptable to Maharashtra? It will be discussed and decided. Just as there is no race in allotment of seats, there is no race in the face of the Chief Ministership. Sanjay Raut also said that no formula has been decided and will not be the Chief Minister for whom there are more seats.
