*Kankavali, D-16:-* While going from Goa to Pen (District Raigad) in an Eicher tempo, the driver Navnath Prahlad Gharat (Rest. Pen – Raigad) who fell asleep while stopping the tempo on the way died suddenly. The incident took place near the Indian Oil Petrol Pump at Osargaon on the highway on Thursday around 9.30 pm. Navnath was going to Pen from Goa along with his brother Kailas Prahlad Gharat. Navnath raised the tempo at Osargaon and fell asleep. After some time, when Kailas tried to wake up Navnath for food, there was no movement. He was immediately admitted to Kankavali Upazila Hospital. Kailas said in the news that Navnath was dead when the doctor examined him. Accordingly, sudden death was registered in Kankavali police station.
