Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Officers in Charge of Police Stations empowered for the period 9th to 23rd November

Ratnagiri, Dt. 8: Regulation orders regarding the granting of powers to all sub-divisional police officers and all police station in-charge officers in the district for maintaining law and order for the period from November 9 to November 23, 2024 have been issued by Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Kulkarni under Section 36 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951. .

The Code of Conduct for Assembly General Election 2024 has been implemented from October 15 to November 25, 2024. Under Section 36 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, the Superintendent of Police Mr. Kulkarni hereby orders all the Sub-Divisional Police Officers and all Police Station Officers in Charge of the District to maintain law and order during the Vidhan Sabha General Election 2024 code of conduct period from 9th November to 23rd November 2024 in addition to the above sections. Rights are granted. To give directions as to the conduct or behavior of people in a street or in a procession or in a crowd.

Prescribing the routes or times by which processions should or should not be taken, by which route, at what time. Not to disturb during worship on the occasion of all processions and gatherings and around all places of worship or from any street or public place or public place where crowding or disturbance is likely to occur. To maintain order in all streets and in streets, on ghats or ghats, in all dhakas or in dhakas or places and spaces of public bathing, washing and alighting places, fairs, temples and all other public places. To regulate and control the playing of drums, tambourines and other musical instruments or the singing of songs or the playing of drums, tambourines and other musical instruments, etc., in or near any street or public place. It is necessary to regulate and control the use of sound projectors (loud speakers) in any public place or near any place of public entertainment, where loud loudspeakers are likely to cause nuisance to the public. To make appropriate orders subject to and confirming any order made by the competent authority under sections 33, 35, 38 to 41, 42, 43 and 45 of this enactment.

According to this order, all police station in-charge officers and senior officers in the district have been empowered to implement the above clauses. The order has also said that law and order should be maintained within the limits of our respective police stations by proper utilization of the powers and that no untoward incident should take place.
