*Kankavali, D-31:-* Around Rs. 60 thousand in the bag of a jeweler who was traveling from Goa to Mumbai in a private bus. Valuable jewelery and cash were recovered by unknown persons. The incident took place between 9.15 to 9.30 pm on Thursday, August 29, while stopping at Nandgaon for a luxury meal. A case has been registered against an unknown thief in this regard. According to the complaint filed by Bhaiyasaheb Motiram More with the Kankavali police, More has a business of making one gram of gold jewelery and distributing it to traders. Businessman Bhaiyyasaheb More (54, Res. Charkop, Kandivali) had gone to Goa for delivery of jewelery by Dolphin private Arambus (NL01B6300). After that, he was going to Kandivali from Goa in luxury with the rest of the goods. During the journey, the bus stopped at a hotel in Nandgaon for lunch.
More had gone to a hotel for dinner.
When they got to the luxury after eating, the passenger sitting next to them told them that their bag was open. The unknown thief pried open his chained suitcase with some weapon. 20 gold bars of 1 gram worth around 60,000 and 3,000 in cash were stolen by an unknown thief in the suitcase. The jewelery was kept in a compartment in a suitcase. Along with these jewels were some receipts of the merchant. As soon as the businessman gave an idea about this, the luxury was brought to the police station at night. However, nothing was found. After that the luxury was left for Mumbai late at night. According to the complaint given by Bhaiyasaheb More, a case of theft has been registered against the unknown thief. Kankavali police inspector Maruti Jagtap, police sub-inspector Anil Hadal, constable Chandrakant Zhore are conducting further investigation.
