Kudal Panbazar), a suspect in the house burglary case in Kudal city, for two more days. Meanwhile, the police have been able to seize 77 thousand cash so far and out of the total gold, it has been revealed that he kept two gold chains in a bank that provides gold loans. These chains are also going to be seized by the police soon. Police Inspector Runal Mulla said that the suspect has admitted to being involved in as many as six burglary cases in Kudal city.
Accused Ananth Mhadeshwar had admitted to the police on Thursday that he kept two gold chains in the gold loan bank out of the lampas belonging to the closed bungalow of Ananth Vaidya, which is located behind the Axis Bank in Padtewadi. He also recovered 77 thousand 400 thousand rupees out of the stolen cash from his family and friends. An investigation has been started to see if Akshay is involved in the earlier thefts in the city. Of the total amount, about 10 thousand 600 rupees remain to be received now. Meanwhile, as soon as his two-day police custody ended on Friday, the police produced him in the Kudal court. At this time, the police demanded that the remaining amount should be taken into custody and the police custody of the suspect should be extended by two days as he was involved in other thefts in the city and the court ordered him to be kept in police custody for two days.
Gold Loan Finance Company is also on the police radar.
Mr. Mhadeshwar kept two stolen chains in a bag and kept about one lakh rupees on them. Police investigation has revealed that cash was taken. But the concerned gold loan finance company did not verify any receipts as per gold loan rules while pledging the gold. Also, the suspect had kept the stolen jewelry here in the same manner earlier. Police inspector Runal Mulla explained that if the company had informed the police about this, the concerned suspect would have been caught by the police immediately. Mr. Runal Mulla has said that the managers of the concerned finance company have been called to the police station for questioning.
