Ratnagiri : According to the government decision, the district level school sports competition program organized in the academic year 2024-25 on behalf of District Sports Council and District Sports Officer Office, Ratnagiri under the authority of Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, M.R. Pune has been organized for the year 2024-25. . It includes a total of 49 games,

Among them Rifle Shooting Competition on 20th September 2024, S.V.J.C. T. It was held at Sports Complex, Derwan, Chiplun. Age wise students participated in this competition namely under 14 years boys and girls, under 17 years boys and girls and under 19 years boys and girls. There, the athletes showed their skills in three categories namely 10m Pistol, Open Sight Rifle and Peep Sight Rifle.

Ch. Rigved Siddhant Bendke participated in the competition from the GGPS school in the below 14 year pistol category. He performed brilliantly and won the second position and will represent Ratnagiri in the regional competition to be held in Kolhapur. He thanked the GGPS school principal and sports teachers and Mrs. Pushkaraj Sports Shooting Academy. Special thanks to Rajeshwari Pushkaraj Ingwale for his valuable guidance.
