Devrukh Dt. 23 : Smt. Shailaja Anant Paranjape (age 82), originally from Kase in Sangameshwar taluk and currently residing at Devrukh, passed away today at Devrukh due to old age.
Mrs. Shailaja Paranjpe served as a nurse in Dr. Sathe’s clinic at Burambad for many years. Paranjape’s family shifted to Devrukh after the son got a government job in Devrukh. Even after the death of her husband Anant Paranjape, Mrs. Shailaja recovered her life with great difficulty. By nature she was benevolent, loving and always helpful to others.
His health was not good for the last month due to old age. They are treated at home. Finally today at 9:30 am. He lost his life. He is survived by a married daughter, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. He was cremated at Vyadeshwar crematorium in Devrukh this afternoon in a mournful atmosphere.
