SFDA and SPSC sign MoU to enhance knowledge sharing and foster innovation

RIYADH The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Saudi Center for Patient Safety (SPSC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that aimed to foster cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge..

The agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of SFDA Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey and SPSC Director General Dr. Ali bin Tala Asery in Riyadh on Monday. The signing ceremony was held on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2024.

Key areas of cooperation outlined in the MoU include the exchange of data on safety events related to medicines and medical devices, the development and distribution of educational materials to raise awareness, and the sharing of knowledge through training and education programs focused on quality and patient safety.

Additionally, the MoU encompasses collaboration in research, scientific expertise, and consulting, including the implementation of awareness campaigns, the provision of scientific opinions, and the application of emerging technologies in innovation and research.

The signing of MoU aims to establish a foundation for integration among various government authorities, enhancing communication and cooperation to deliver reliable healthcare and contribute to shared goals for the public good, it was revealed on the occasion.
