RIYADH — The Saudi Pro League has announced that the first round of the new season, set to begin on Thursday, will be named the “Esports World Cup Round.”
This decision honors the achievements of the inaugural edition of the global tournament, which is set to conclude next Sunday after an eight-week run.
The Esports World Cup, held at Boulevard Riyadh City, has featured over 1,500 players from 500 teams competing across 22 tournaments, with a total prize pool of $60 million. This event has significantly bolstered Riyadh’s standing as a global capital for esports.
