Saudi Industry Ministry hosts “Saudi Night” in Las Vegas, showcasing promising opportunities in mining

LAS VEGAS— The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has hosted the “Saudi Night” event in Las Vegas, United States, aiming to highlight Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage, history, ambitious development projects, and programs of Saudi Vision 2030. It also aims to promote the promising mining investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

The event was attended by Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, Deputy Minister Khalid Almudaifer, and a group of American and international investors.

Speaking on the occasion, Alkhorayef emphasized that Saudi Arabia is undergoing a comprehensive developmental renaissance centered around Vision 2030, which aims to achieve a comprehensive economic transformation based on diversifying income sources beyond oil. The Vision aims at attracting investments, promoting sustainable growth, and improving the quality of life for citizens, with the private sector as a key partner in achieving these goals.

The minister said that the industry and mining sectors are the most prominent sectors supporting the Kingdom’s economic transformation through optimal utilization of natural resources, fostering innovation, and enhancing the investment environment, contributing to building a diversified and sustainable economy.

He highlighted that the Kingdom’s mining sector enjoys competitive advantages that make it a promising sector for both foreign and domestic investors. “Such advantages include the availability of a stimulating investment environment that is both regulatory and legislative, the availability of abundant mineral resources, special economic zones, and facilitated licensing procedures. In addition, there is a package of enablers and incentives for investors provided by the industry and mineral system,” he said.

The “Saudi Night” event, held on the sidelines of Saudi Arabia’s participation in MINExpo International 2024 Las Vegas, featured presentations by a group of Saudi students on products and handicrafts reflecting the authenticity and heritage of all regions of Saudi Arabia. The event also presented information about the key programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
