Saudi Defense Minister, US counterpart discuss over phone efforts to de-escalate regional tensions

RIYADH — Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman held phone talks with United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Tuesday.

They reviewed the strategic Saudi-U.S. relationship and ways to enhance it within the framework of the defense partnership.

Prince Khalid and Austin also discussed the latest regional and international developments. The efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region and their repercussions, and ways to ensure regional security and stability are also figured in their talks.
