After the discussion, it has been determined that a solution will be taken by holding a meeting with the Tehsildars.
Meanwhile, Satish Achrekar has warned on behalf of the stall traders that if the port department does not give permission to set up stalls, the local traders will go on hunger strike.
By order of the Maritime Board from the Malvan Port Department, the stalls in the premises of the Port Department and on the shore of the Malvan Port Jetty area were removed. While trying to start business by setting up stalls again, there was an argument between the port officials and the stall businessmen. Against this background, the businessmen who set up stalls on the shore met the port officer Gosavi and inspected the place on the shore. On this occasion, Satish Achrekar, Rohan Achrekar, Arun Todankar, Johnny Fernandes, Ejaz Mulla, Anand Achrekar, Prasad Sarkare, Hemant Ramade, Deepak Tandel, Swapneel Achrekar, Anmol Adhav, Raju Wagh, Hemant Sarang, Santosh Govekar, Fatima Mujawar, Deepali Mather, Helen Fernandes, Nagesh Parab, Khushbu Achrekar, Wilson Fernandes, Nuru Mujawar, Deepali Achrekar, Jayshree Sakpal, Vaishnavi Kubal, Jarna Wagh Bani Sarang, Jennifer Fernandes, Geneva Brito, Sneha Todankar, Dada Joshi, Vinita Pednekar, Mohini Achrekar and others were present.
At this time, Satish Achrekar said, as per the instructions of the port department, the stall holders in the jetty area had cooperated with the port department and removed the stalls on their own. However, no action has been taken regarding giving space to the stall holders. We are the first professional stall holders in the port area and have been running stalls for the past 20 years. Serving tourists. Many locals make a living from it. Satish Achrekar said that permission should be given to set up stalls on the shore. Satish Achrekar took an aggressive stand in favor of the stall traders.
Port officer Gosavi said that after the discussion, the stall holders will meet with the tehsildars and find a solution.
