Ratnagiri — Ms.Sandesh Ravindra Lanjekar.M.PO Tulsani Dist.Sangmeswar Dist.Ratnagiri.Age 24 years Presently resides in Godavun Stop Ratnagiri.Sandesh has Cerebral Palsy from birth.Due to lack of strength in both his limbs he has never been able to walk. When he was five years old, he underwent surgery on his leg at KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He underwent physiotherapy for four years at Paraplegic Foundation Sion, but it did not make much difference. He did his 4th standard education in his village, Tulsani. After that, he did his 5th to 10th standard at Government Disability Institute, Miraj. Completed primary education. He came to Ratnagiri for further education. Stayed at Ambedkar Bhavan and completed his 12th standard education in Gogate College by using a wheelchair. Presently he is at home. Further education has been stopped. He tries to work but does not succeed. . Sandesh is the eldest son and three sisters among four siblings. One Dhanshree Lanjekar is married. The middle Rituja Lanjekar works in a shop while the younger Mansi Lanjekar is studying in class 12. Father Shri Rajendra Dattaram Lanjekar used to work in the press in Mumbai but now stays at home. .Rajni Rajendra Lanjekar is a housewife and goes out and does housework.Currently her family expenses are supported by what her mother and sister earn. Sandesh’s parents approached RHP Foundation regarding the wheelchair. Mr. Sadiq Nakaden, president of the organization, took detailed information about Sandesh. Sameer Nakade, a retired officer of Oriental Insurance Company, a member of the organization, Mrs. Manali Vinayak Khawle expressed his desire to help the disabled. Sameer Nakade contacted Mrs. Malti Khawle and she helped Ms. Sandesh with a comfortable wheelchair. For that, Lanjekar family thanked Malti Khawle and RHP Foundation.
