Red Crescent airlifts patient from Jazan’s Black Mountain

Saudi Gazette report

JAZAN — The air ambulance teams of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the southern Jazan region were able to transport a patient from a rugged and remote area in the Black Mountain in Al-Raith governorate. The mountainous region is located 124 km northeast of Jazan city at an altitude of over 3000 feet.

The rescue operation was carried out after the authority’s branch in Jazan received information from a citizen about the deteriorated health condition of a patient in the Black Mountain Center. This necessitated the air lifting of the patient through the authority’s air ambulance wing in order to provide him with urgent healthcare.

The authority urged the public to contact the Red Crescent, through its Asifny application or over phone number 997 in the event of any emergency so as to ensure immediate response and provide the necessary support.

It is noteworthy that the air ambulance service is among the targets of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, due to its impact on facilitating and speeding up access to emergency medical care, and protecting the lives and health of people in every part of the Kingdom.
