However, MLA Sunil Shinde and MLA Aniket Tatkare raised their voices in this regard. Similarly, General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee Nanda Mhatre and the local sitting MLA Ravindra Patil paid emotional tribute to the Water Resources Department and the Maharashtra Government through Pen Kharepat Department who did not take notice of the hunger strike today even on the seventh day as this issue was not being addressed even after writing to the government earlier. Hundreds of villagers and farmers including women class, senior citizens, children, students of this area were present to pay this tribute.

The canal work of the Hetwane dam medium project in Pen taluka has been pending for the last sixteen years. 4268 hectares of irrigated area in 52 villages and drinking water of thousands of citizens depend on this water. But even after sixteen years why this work is not completed. Fast to death has been started for this work to be completed as soon as possible and to give such a written letter to the state government and also to get the fourth amendment administrative approval for the project to plan the further work of this canal. Even after seven days since the beginning of the session, no serious attention was paid to any of these things and the fast to death, on Wednesday evening emotional tributes were paid to the Water Resources Department and the Maharashtra Government through the Pen Kharepat Department.
