Ratnagiri : Voting for the Vidhan Sabha general election is going on on November 20. Preparations have now started in every assembly constituency for this. A traffic plan has been prepared for the voting process under the guidance of Election Returning Officer and Sub Divisional Officer Jeevan Desai of Ratnagiri Assembly Constituency.
As there are few days left for polling, under the guidance of Election Returning Officer of Ratnagiri Assembly Constituency Jeevan Desai, Assistant Returning Officer Rajaram Mhatre and other polling officers and staff are currently rigging. (November 12) Second training of staff started. A plan of transport necessary for all this has been prepared.
The number of voting machines required for the polling process as well as the number of vehicles required for the transportation of staff have been determined. On November 12, a two-day training was conducted in accordance with the voting process. A plan of necessary vehicles has been prepared for this. 67 routes have also been fixed for it. As per the traffic plan, 55 trains of Maharashtra State Transport Corporation are required for second training of staff and voting process. In this regard, discussions have also been held with the officials of the corporation. Also 25 minibuses and 22 jeeps have to be kept ready.
In Ratnagiri Assembly Constituency, home voting will be held for senior voters above 85 years of age and persons with disabilities from November 14 to 16. Among these voters who have applied to the Assistant Election Officer and Tehsildar for home voting facility. This facility will be provided only for them. 38 vehicles will be kept ready for this also. Also, 36 vehicles will be required for the regional officers. All these vehicles have been fixed for that purpose.
