Ratnagiri : Consecutive district, divisional, state and national level video conference meetings, meetings at local offices and district collector’s offices, reports to be prepared for all these meetings, review of that department and information to be filled online have left the government officials and employees virtually exhausted. As the election draws nearer, in Maharashtra, there is a flood of schemes and smoke coming out.
After the transfer of power in the state, many schemes were planned to show that the government is being run in a dynamic manner, the officers and employees have lost their appetite as this government aims to implement the scheme on a war footing by taking full advantage of modern technology. Presently the Collector, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer and officers of various departments, City Council Chief Officer and other officers, Women Child Welfare Department officials, Health Department officials of various departments do not know when the day dawns and sets. The burden on all of them has percolated down and the officers and employees under their hands have started getting insufficient time for work. It has been a month since the launch of ‘Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin’ scheme. In this scheme, which was implemented with an eye on the elections, everyone from Anganwadi workers was put to work to register more women. As a result, crores of women from across the state became beneficiaries. But, everyone had to work day and night to complete this process. These officers are stuck in the day-to-day operations of their respective departments, all the meetings, the questions that come out of it, its output, the revised instructions coming from the government.
Planning to benefit the assembly
Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center Scheme, Democracy Day, Visits of various Central and State Ministers, Arrangements for Ganeshotsav, Repair of Roads, Movements for it, Chief Minister’s Planner, Electoral Rolls Programme, Preparation for Assembly Elections, Constitution Temples set up in ITIs, Swachhta Hai Seva Scheme, Flood Monitoring , Chief Minister’s Tirthadarshan Yojana, Vyoshree Yojana, Annasaheb Patil Economic Backward Development Corporation, Chief Minister’s Youth Work Training Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana etc. are being implemented on a war footing and the ruling party has planned to raise the benefits of this for the Legislative Assembly.
Officials’ confusion…
