Ratnagiri : Poor response to e-peak inspection in the district

Ratnagiri : Out of nearly five lakh farmers in the district, only 9327 farmers have registered for e-Peak inspection. Although farmers have given little response to e-crop inspection, e-crop inspection is important for providing compensation and crop insurance in natural calamities. So farmers must do e-crop inspection through e-Peak inspection app. The farmers of the district are getting very little response for the registration of ‘E-Peak Inspection’ being implemented by the government.

So far, only two percent of the farmers in the district have registered for ‘e-Peak’ inspection and got insurance cover for about three thousand hectares. In this, it is pointed out that farmers have turned away from ‘e-Peak’ registration due to technical problems. As crop insurance scheme requires final crop registration on weekly basis, ‘e-crop’ inspection is necessary. However, farmers are away from e-crop inspection due to network problems, technical glitches in the app while doing crop inspection through the app. For that, by clicking on the help button on the app and watching the video in it, the problem can be resolved. The agriculture department has appealed to the farmers who have any problems to contact the taluka agriculture office or the district agriculture superintendent’s office immediately.

Every account holder must register crop insurance. Crop insurance, distribution of crop loans is necessary for compensation in case of crop damage due to natural calamities, so farmers should immediately inspect the crop, Ajay Shende District Agriculture Superintendent
