Chiplun : Leader News Service : A suspicious body of a young woman has been found near the Savatsada waterfall on the Mumbai-Goa highway. The dead body was found in a pit created by the water falling from the waterfall. Due to this, the preliminary guess is that it is a murder. Ratnagiri News

On Monday (4th) around 4 o'clock in the evening, when a local worker went to bring water to the waterfall, he found the body of a young woman lying upside down in the rocks of the waterfall. He immediately gave this information to the villagers of Pede. After this, the villagers informed the Police Patil and immediately informed the Chiplun Police. Chiplun police reached the spot around 5:30 pm. After this, Police Inspector Ravindra Shinde also rushed to the spot.
Savatsada Falls is famous for monsoon tourism. At this place, every year after the waterfall starts to overflow, many people passing by the highway and many tourists from the area come to take a dip under this waterfall. As the dead body of this young woman was found at the same waterfall, there has been a stir in Pedhe, Parasuram area. The police visited the spot and conducted a panchnama and the body was taken out and sent to Kamthe Upazila Hospital for post-mortem. Ratnagiri News

Meanwhile, the identity of this young woman has not been ascertained till late. There are injuries on the hands and feet of this young woman and there is a suspicion of accidental death. The young woman is literally trapped in the pit where the water of the waterfall falls. Therefore, the young woman's legs were in an elevated position and she was seen by the worker concerned. Chiplun police are investigating the matter.
