Two youths from Karla who came to sell brown heroin and ganja on the road near the railway station near Ratnagiri city were arrested red-handed by the Ratnagiri city police. Narcotics worth around 700,000 were seized from them. Muhafiz Yasin Solkar (30) and Furkan Pasha Jagirdar (28) residing in New Karla area of the city were arrested. This action was taken by police inspector Mahesh Toraskar along with his colleagues around 9 o’clock on Friday night. At night, police constable Rahul Jadhav gave reliable information to police inspector Toraskar that both Solkar and Jagirdar would come to sell brown heroin and ganja on the road near the electricity substation near the railway station. Accordingly, Police Inspector Toraskar and his colleagues laid a trap. When both arrived at the said place and were searched, brown heroin weighing 13 grams was found in 350 paper bags and ganja weighing 112.5 grams of 3,000 was recovered from them. The police seized and confiscated the material worth about 1 lakh 25 thousand 700 rupees.
