Ratnagiri : Burglary at Golap; Lumpas instead of three lakhs

Ratnagiri; Leading News Service: Thieves broke the door of a house in Golap in the taluka and stole valuables worth around 337,000. Rakesh Ramesh Bane (age 41) has filed a complaint in Purnagad police station on Friday (29th) in this regard. This incident took place between December 27 and December 28.

Rakesh Bane along with his family went to Kolhapur on 27th December for Devdarshan. After returning home at midnight on December 28, he noticed that the door lock had been broken. After going into the house, the items in the cupboard were found in an awkward condition. It was pointed out that cash amounting to Rs.3 lakh 37 thousand 500 including gold ornaments was stolen from the cupboard. Bane filed a complaint in Purnagad police station on Friday (29th). Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Shashikant Sawant is conducting further investigation in this matter.
