Rare lizard in the field at the foot of Sinhagad; Another activity of botanists

Pune, Day – 30:– A rare lizard of the camellia variety is found in our Sahyadri. This chameleon lizard belongs to a very rare society. In order to make others aware of it, this year senior botanist Shrikant Ingalhalikar has created ‘Chameleon’ paddy art in his farm. Every year they replicate a different animal in the paddy field.

For the past several years, Ingalhalikar has been experimenting with paddy art in his farm near the Sinhagad foothills. He brought this art to our country for the first time. So far they have replicated very different types of animals in it. This year, the chameleon lizard found in Africa has been realized, which is rarely seen in our country. This sardine, which is about six inches long, is mainly found on trees. It is a green colored lizard and is also known as a color changer. Its color changes according to the color of the leaf of the tree on which this lizard lives. A line of white spines can be seen on the neck and belly of this lizard. There are many misconceptions about the chameleon lizard. This lizard is completely non-venomous and attacks only in self-defense. This artefact can be seen at Lexon Winders near the petrol pump on Sinhagad road a little near Donje village.
