Rajapur’s Sneha Rahate won two medals in the national swimming competition

Ratnagiri : Rajapur’s Sukanya Rahate (Mukta Raut) gave an eye-catching performance in the 20th National Swimming Championships organized by Swimming Federation of India and Madhya Pradesh Swimming Association at Bhopal.

She won two medals.

In the women’s age group of 25-29 years, she won bronze medal in 200 freestyle and silver medal in 400m freestyle and won the championship for Maharashtra. On the strength of this performance, she hoisted the flag of Maharashtra along with Ratnagiri district at the national level.

Rajapur’s daughter Sneha, who has excelled in the field of sports since her school days, is currently training under the guidance of national coach Vinayak Pawar at Ramtirth Swimming Pool in Chiplun and Derwan. She is getting the guidance of director Srikant Paradkar. A consistent performer since her school life, she participated in the 20th National Swimming Competition held in Bhopal in the age group of 25-29 years. A large number of contestants from around 22 states across the country participated in this competition. Facing the tough challenge of all these contestants, she also performed impressively in this competition. To participate in this national competition, she was given a helping hand by Disha’s family as a social commitment.
