HE the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, along with heads of the Arab Group and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and HE Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, held consultations with HE President of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Dennis Francis, within the framework of the resumption of the 10th emergency session of the UN General Assembly, to address the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
HE emphasized the importance of the draft resolution submitted by the Arab Group entitled “Protection of Civilians and Upholding Legal and Humanitarian Obligations,” which calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people.
