Plantation of Undan variety by Giants Group of Ratnagiri

Ratnagiri: Giants Group of Ratnagiri, a philanthropic group, completed 20 years on 24th August 2024 by planting 30 Undan trees on the roadside near Miryabandar. The saplings of these trees have been given free of charge by Santosh Toskar, the proprietor of Mangrove Nursery in Mavlange.

The number of undan trees is now minimal. The purpose behind this was that trees should be planted on a large scale. A large number of birds come to eat the fruit of the Undan tree. Medicinal oil is also produced from that fruit. Even as it rained heavily in Ratnagiri on Saturday, Giants Group Chairman, Shri. Laxmikant (Babu) Bhute, other members, Dr.Milind Sawant, Mr.Sanjay Patankar, Mr.Vinay Joshi, Mr.Sachin Bartakke, Mr.Santosh Kadam worked hard and planted Undan saplings to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group.
