Ratnagiri : Now pensioners no longer need to go to bank, pension department or pension distribution institution office to submit life certificate.
Because, digital life certificate will now be available at home or at any post office. Digital life certificate with Aadhaar authentication will be given immediately as it is completely paperless, Superintendent of Post Office N. T. Kuralpakar said.
This service is available to pensioners for just Rs.70. India Post Payment Bank premium account holders get 50 percent discount. Pensioners must carry pension ID, pension payment order, pension disbursement department, name of bank with pension account, mobile number and Aadhaar number to prepare digital life certificate. Life certificate is mandatory to be updated by Central Govt, EPFO or any other Govt Pensioners Institution etc. in the month of November and December. Kuralpakar has appealed that maximum number of pensioners in Ratnagiri district should benefit from the post office service.
