Palestinian Foreign Ministry warns of Israeli plans to undermine Al Aqsa mosque

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry warned Thursday of Israeli plans and incitement practices aimed at undermining Al-Aqsa Mosque by the so-called Temple Mount organizations union, where the image of the alleged temple is constantly being promoted in place of the Dome of the Rock.

The ministry said in a statement that it views this ongoing incitement with great seriousness, especially since it is accompanied by the escalation in the storming of Al Aqsa Mosque by Jewish extremists and the performance of Talmudic prayers and rituals in its courtyards in an unprecedented manner.

It stressed that the failure of the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards what the Palestinian people and their sanctities are being subjected to, most notably Al Aqsa Mosque, encourages the occupation government to escalate its aggression and crimes.

It noted that this is not the first time that the so-called Temple Mount organizations union has incited against Al Aqsa Mosque.
The statement warned against the consequences of extremist settlement organizations and associations attacking Al Aqsa Mosque, especially the repercussions of this aggression in exploding the conflict arena and the entire region.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry confirmed that it will continue to coordinate its efforts and mobilize the broadest international pressure front to stop this targeting, and provide international protection for the Palestinian people, Jerusalem and its sanctities, and Al Aqsa in particular.
