Ratnagiri : While working as an MLA for the last fifteen years, the candidate of ‘Mavia’ has not contributed much in the Rajapur-Lanja-Sakharpa constituency. Therefore, henceforth Mahayuti Shiv Sena candidate Kiran alias Bhaiya Samant has given the slogan ‘Our only principle is the importance of people’s work’. Instead of a manifesto, he has released a promise on 15 different topics.
Rajapur-Lanja-Sakharpa Constituency has not been developed yet. Therefore, there is a large number of workers in this area. In many villages, people have closed their houses and are outside the village for jobs and business. Kiran Samant expressed the opinion that the situation needs to be changed when the villages are filled on Ganapati and Shimgotsava, but after that there is a drought.
Health system, water supply and irrigation, educational facilities, industry and employment, transport, agriculture and horticulture, fisheries and port development, tourism development, women empowerment, rural development, urban development, flood control and disaster management, social development, sports and Arts and administrative reforms will be the main focus of future work. Kiran Samant said that he will remain committed to the people.
Rajapur taluka is spread from the edge of Sahyadri to the Arabian Sea and is divided into two parts by the central highway. But there is a shortage of health facilities in the coastal and Sahyadri belt as well and here Kiran Samant has approved the work of 66 crores for a 100-bed multispecialty hospital at Oni through the efforts of Mahayuti. 7 new ambulances have been made available for patients in remote areas.
Prof. Health Center Sakharpa Sangameshwar, Prof. come Center Bhambed Lanja and Prof. come 12.50 crores has been sanctioned for buildings and staff accommodation at Center Jaitapur Rajapur. Raipatan Rural Hospital, Tulsawade, Dharatale, Kelawali, Karavali, Prindavan, Ringane, Wadilimbu, Javade, Talawade, Prabhanvalli and Veravali Bu. Here Prof. come Center and sub-centres will be repaired. He has also mentioned that they will create health help rooms and get the benefit of various schemes, and create facility centers to empower the disabled.
Under the Water Supply and Irrigation Department, 7 irrigation projects worth a total of 2809 crores have received administrative approval. 1560 crore pending works of Jamda Madhyam Irrigation Project, administrative approval to increase irrigated area under Arjuna Project Rs. 1188 works were given revised administrative approval for works pending for many years. This will benefit the area of 6171 hectares in 18 villages including 6 villages in Lanja and 12 villages in Rajapur. 225 crores sanctioned for 406 schemes under Jaljeevan Mission, 47 crores sanctioned for distribution system work of Muchkundi Irrigation Project. He said that efforts will be made to strengthen and preserve and conserve water sources.
He also said that funds of 8.33 crores, 61.60 lakhs for Anganwadis have been sanctioned for providing educational facilities, especially for construction and repair of schools. Rajapur ITI named after Prof. Madhu Dandavate has been established as a Government Industrial Training Institute. He also said that he has left the resolution of many schemes for the students and will give priority to establishing a government agriculture college.
Approval has been received for setting up MIDC at Wadikhurd in Rajapur taluka. He also expressed his intention to set up some environmental projects with the approval of the people. Development works worth Rs.132 crore have been sanctioned for various works in the taluka. Farmers at the grassroot level should get the benefit of the agriculture and horticulture schemes and various activities implemented by the government. Kiran Samant also explained that his efforts will continue to get justice especially for the cashew growers.
In terms of tourism development, there are many places in this constituency, efforts are underway for their development. Funds have been sanctioned by the government for preservation of historical structures at Machal, Kankaditya Temple at Kasheli, Ambolgad, Yashwantgad, Shiva Kalin Ghadi, Rani Lakshmibai Kot. Kiran Samant said that special activities will be undertaken for tourism.
Priority will be given to the development of ports: Kiran Samant
The development of Sakharinate fishing port, which is an important port in Rajapur taluka, has been stalled for many years. During the grand alliance, the development work of this port has been given priority and a fund of 153 crores has been approved. Various schemes have also been implemented for fishermen. Kiran Samant also said that the development of the ports of Ansure, Dhaniware, Nate, Sakhrinate, Katli, Dongar, Nanar and Harche will be given priority for the development of fishing and passenger ports.
