*Kankavali, D-16:-* Jatin Shankar Killare (32, Res. Virar) who was standing on the side of the highway, outside the white line, was hit by a two-wheeler traveling on the highway. 9.30 pm on Saturday at Nandgaon. Jatin’s left leg was seriously injured in the accident. In this regard, a case has been registered against the two-wheeler driver Santosh Chalke (Rest. Belne) in the Kankavali Police Station. According to Jatin’s prosecution, Jatin was the driver of a private Arambus, which was carrying passengers from Vengurle to Mumbai. Around Saturday night, he parked the Arambus on the side of the highway near a hotel in Nandgaon. After the meal, Jatin crossed the highway and stood outside the white line of the highway. At that time Jatin was hit by an Activa two-wheeler (MH07 AF6656) which had crossed the white line and was traveling on this highway. After the accident, two wheeler driver Santosh and Jatin’s co-driver rushed Jatin to Kankavali Upazila Hospital in a private ambulance. The prosecution said that Jatin’s left leg was fractured in the accident.
