Pune :It is seen that a strong political battle is going on for the post of Chief Minister between the constituent parties of both the alliances in the state. Similarly, NCP President Sharad Pawar has expressed his desire to see a woman Chief Minister, which has sparked political discussions.
There is a constant discussion about when the state will get its first woman Chief Minister. The question is often raised that Maharashtra has not got a single woman Chief Minister since the formation of the state till date.
Speaking at a campaign meeting of NCP Sharad Chandra Pawar’s candidate Ashok Pawar at Vadgaon Rasai in Shirur taluka, Sharad Pawar said, “Maharashtra took a historic decision to give 30 percent reservation to women during our rule in the state. After that, this decision was implemented across the country. Today, women’s participation has increased from Gram Panchayat to Lok Sabha. Now I want to see Maharashtra get a woman Chief Minister,” he said.
Sharad Pawar’s gang imitating Ajit Pawar
Sharad Pawar imitated Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a difficult style. “Some people come from outside and say, ‘I see how the Ghodganga sugar factory starts.’ Also, during the Lok Sabha elections, a leader had said that he will see whether Amol Kolhe gets elected or not. But people realized their responsibility and elected Kolhe with a margin of lakhs of votes,” he said indirectly.
Criticism of the state government over the Ghodganga sugar factory
Sharad Pawar strongly criticized the state government saying that the power should be used for the benefit of the people. “The loan sanctioned to Ghodganga Sugar Factory is not repaid. Despite banks’ willingness to sanction loans, the state government has created roadblocks. Loans were granted to six other factories, but Ghodganga was blocked. People should understand whose pressure is behind this,” he said.
Pawar also mentioned that he tried to get a loan from the Chief Minister, but the situation did not change. “The public will definitely think about such things that harm the interests of the state,” he expressed confidence.
