Nine thousand ST buses will run on the occasion of the election!

Mumbai: Assembly elections are going on in the state and ST buses will run to take the district and police administration team to the polling station and to deliver the voting machines and materials in the wake of the election. About 9 thousand buses of ST have been reserved on November 19 and 20 for polling in the state.

Voting will be held in the state on November 20 and the district election department is ready for this. All necessary preparations have been made before voting. A simple bus was requested from the ST Corporation to transport the polling teams to the polling station. About 9 thousand 200 ST buses have been reserved for this purpose. ST Corporation has reserved 200 to 600 buses from 31 divisions. Pune division has the highest demand for ST and around 600 buses have been reserved. After that about 500 buses have been requested from Nashik, 490 from Solapur, 468 from Ahmednagar, 449 from Satara, 453 from Kolhapur. Meanwhile, more than 9 thousand buses of ST Corporation will be used for the election work across the state. From this, the ST Corporation will get 24 to 30 thousand rupees for each bus for two days, said a senior official of the ST Corporation. Since the ST buses are reserved on the day before the election and on the day of the election, the ST bus trips in the rural areas of the state will be affected. Therefore, passengers in rural areas will have to take the option of private vehicles.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (374 buses), Beed (293), Jalna (199), Latur (175), Nanded (278), Dharashiv (182), Parbhani (175), Mumbai (280), Palghar (250), Raigad (237) ), Sindhudurg (126), Thane (246), Nagpur (250), Bhandara (219), Chandrapur (214), Gadchiroli (109), Wardha 108), Buldana (268), Yavatmal (265), Amravati (281) , Jalgaon (389), Dhule (318) have also reserved a large number of buses. Many sections have more reserved buses than available self-owned buses. Therefore, buses will be procured by calling for buses from other departments.
