National Cancer Awareness Day was observed in the district on Thursday.

Ratnagiri : Dist. W. National Cancer Awareness Day was celebrated in the district on Thursday by the Health Department. The statistics of cancer patients from January 2024 in Ratnagiri district is 97, out of which 13 patients have undergone successful surgery. Health Officer Dr. Under the guidance of Anirudh Athalye, National Cancer Awareness Day was celebrated on 7th November through all health institutions in the district. Accordingly Primary Health Center Abaloli, Cancer awareness was raised at Guhaghar. Medical Officer Dr. Rituja Gangawane gave in-depth information about cancer and guided about cancer screening and care to be taken to prevent it.
