Mumbai air quality dips after fireworks, goes from ‘poor’ to ‘severe’ category

Air quality in Mumbai worsened after firecrackers were lit, with AQI levels rising from poor to severe. Humid and non-windy conditions caused smog. PM2.5 levels increased by 38% and PM10 levels by 23% compared to the previous day. Areas such as Byculla, Deonar, and Sewri saw significant pollution spikes.
