Mikati calls for united Arab-Islamic stance against Israeli aggression

RIYADH — Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati called for a unified Arab-Islamic stance against Israel’s aggression toward Palestine and Lebanon during his address at the Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh on Monday.

He warned that the ongoing aggression threatens regional stability and highlighted that Lebanon is suffering the consequences, particularly with attacks on civilians and violations of sovereignty.

Mikati stressed the need for an immediate response, advocating for support toward achieving a fair and comprehensive peace in line with the Arab peace initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.

He urged the international community to take responsibility in protecting both Palestinian and Lebanese people, emphasizing that Lebanon’s stability is crucial for resolving the Palestinian issue.

In his closing remarks, Mikati reaffirmed Lebanon’s commitment to the issues of Arab and Islamic nations and its efforts toward regional security.

He also praised Saudi Arabia for hosting the summit and supporting joint regional concerns.
