Markets are closed for full time on polling days

Ratnagiri, Dated 13: The District Collector and District Election regarding the full-time closure of weekly markets as per the provisions of section 5 (c) of the Markets and Fairs Act, 1862, at all places where weekly bazaars are to be held in the district on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, on the day of voting for the Assembly General Election. Officer M. Devender Singh has given orders.
According to the Vidhan Sabha General Election 2024 schedule, the voting process will be held on Wednesday 20 November 2024 in the Vidhan Sabha constituency of the district. Every voter included in the voter list of the said assembly constituencies should be allowed to vote. These orders are issued to ensure smooth conduct of polling for the voter to exercise his right to vote.
