Hingoli :E-KYC has been made mandatory for every ration card holder. Every member of the family named in the ration card will have to complete the e-KYC verification process.
The last date for this was earlier 31st October. But now the process has been extended by the central government and the process has to be completed by December 31, 2024.
At present, e-KYC has been made mandatory for every beneficiary of a government scheme. Be it a bank account or a government scheme. E-KYC has been made mandatory everywhere. E-KYC has also been made mandatory for the ration cards held by common citizens. The deadline for this was given till 31st October. However, since the e-KYC of all the beneficiaries has not been done within this period, now the central government has extended this process.
The government had implemented e-KYC guidelines for orange, white and yellow ration card holders a few months back. It is mandatory for all ration card holders to do e-KYC. Now the last date for this is 31 December 2024. So far, the e-KYC process has been extended twice.
Facility has been done in ration shops…
If the e-KYC process of the ration card has not been completed, the facility of e-KYC has been made available through the 4-G e-Pos machines in the locality cheap grain shops. After entering the beneficiary’s Aadhaar card number, the e-KYC process is completed by scanning the beneficiary’s fingerprints and eyes.
E-KYC mandatory…
Every ration card holder is now required to do e-KYC. Importantly, every member of the family named in the ration card should complete the e-KYC verification process. If not, the concerned will not get the benefit of grain delivery service, it has been said by the supply department.
