* Vengurle, D-07:-* In October 2024, due to continuous unseasonal rains, the farmers have been devastated by the loss of paddy and various crops in Kharif season. Farmers will not get paddy or grass in it. That means farmers and cattle will not get proper grass. Rice, groundnut and ragi crops have been severely damaged. After 2nd of November, the rains stopped, the removal and cutting of crops has to be done involuntarily to clear the soil. Therefore, on behalf of the Sindhudurg Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Farmers’ Association, President Shyamsunder Rai, Vengurle Taluka Agriculture Officer, demanded that a summary Panchnama should be made for the loss of rice, ragi and groundnut crops due to unseasonal rains.
